Dec. 3rd If your child missed the Fall Picture Day in October, there will be a Fall Picture Make Up Day on Monday, Dec. 3rd. There is no free dress, but your    child may bring a shirt for the picture and change back into their uniform shirt after the picture. Fresh & Easy Shopping Night Results Volunteers had fun and shoppers got deals on groceries--Calvary made a profit of $368.48 for our Shop for Schools night. School Calendar 2012-13 Updated 11-16   "Caring is Sharing"   Toy & Food Drive Each year Calvary participates in a Christmas Giving opportunity. This year Calvary is supporting the Davis Street Family Resource Center in its 42nd year serving over 1000 local families--Christmas Caring is Christmas Sharing.  If you would like to help, place new, unwrapped toys or food into the Christmas bins in the office or by 2nd grade. Caring is Sharing - Christmas 2012  Walk for Cans Winners  Walk for Cans was a win-win for Calvary and our community.  One class won free dress and our community received much needed canned goods. Grades 5 and 6 chose not to count their points but did an excellent job of bringing food. Grades 7th and 8th had  680 points. Grades 3 and 4 had 1460 points. Grades 1 and 2 had 2790 points. Our FREE DRESS winner is KINDERGARTEN with 3419 points. COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS for priority seating: Available M-F, 9am-4pm in the church main office, and at the close of Sunday worship services. Tickets are distributed at the church in person. (No phone or email orders will be processed.) Note: Church office closed November 22-23 for Thanksgiving holiday. When you come, please be prepared to have alternate date/time in mind.
CHILDCARE (for ages 0-5) by reservation only. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time for any child (age 0-5) who will utilize our excellent childcare system. Contact Penny@3crosses.org or 510-537-4690, ext. 232. Note: Childcare is not available on December 24.

Reminder: Sick kiddo's should stay home...

Reminder - Sick Children Dear Doug,   This is just a reminder to keep children home if:  They have a cold accompanied by fever. They have vomited; they will need a day of rest before returning to school. They have diarrhea or have had in the last 24 hours.  They will need a day of rest and re-hydration. They have a sore throat with fever, and/or swollen glands, and/or it hurts to talk or breathe. Remember, they must be fever-free without any over-the-counter medications, for 24-hours before they can return to school.       If your child is going to miss school for any reason, please be sure to contact the school office and the child's teacher.    Please refer to the CLS Handbook page 25, located on our website for more details.     Thank you, Calvary Lutheran School

Bring your donations to the school so that we can start collecting items for the Family Help Center.    Fresh & Easy  Receipts Don't forget to keep any Fresh & Easy receipt totaling $20 or more.  For every receipt with at least $20, we receive a $1.  If you spend $100, we receive $5.  It's an easy way to get your groceries, and help our school.  We will be collecting receipts until Dec. 31st! Attention 6th - 8th Graders One With the Lord (OWL) is meeting tonight, Friday Nov. 2nd from 6pm to 8pm. Come Make an M&M Cornucopia!
