Bring your family and friends and show off your child's work and our great school! PPP Opportunity!   Sign up to bring a baked or store-bought goodie for our Refreshment Table.  Box Tops  Winners   The class who turned in the most box tops for the 2nd Quarter is  7th & 8th with 300 box tops!  They will get free dress day.       5th & 6th took 2nd place with 217, Kindergarten took 3rd with 128 box tops, 3rd & 4th took 4th place with 122, and 1st & 2nd took 5th place with 85 box tops.   Great Job!  Prayer Box - Student & Family Prayers  The following students were drawn from the prayer box this week: Zanai Brooks - P Alexander Fernandez - 2 Kyle Pusich - 3 Monse Oliva - 6 Jonathan Anene - 8 Titus Cunning- ham - 8 Over the course of the next week, our staff will be lifting them and their families up in prayer. Calvary's 9th    Annual Dinner & Auction      It's a Luau! Join us March 23rd from 5pm - 10pm for Calvary's Annual Dinner & Auction. Start your evening by perusing our Silent Auction tables, and sipping a tropical beverage. Enjoy a full dinner prepared by our very own Michael Schibler, Culinary Chef and Instructor. Complete your evening by bidding on our class creations and projects handmade by our creative students.  End your exciting evening with music and dancing! Tickets are $25 each, or 2 for $45 and can be purchased from the school office. Like Books? Click on the links to see the NLSW schedule   and our school's recycling service project   to raise money for our scholarship fund.  NLSW 2013 Schedule Recycling for Lutheran Schools' Week 2013 __________________________________________________________ CALVARY TAKES 3RD IN MISSION PEAK   BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT    The Calvary Cougars Boys Basketball Season kicked off their season in the 27th annual Mission Peak Tournament held at Prince of Peace in Fremont. In the opening round Calvary faced Belle Vista of Tracy. With key scoring from Wesley Hendrix (10 points) and excellent defense from Jonathan Anene and younger players Joshua and Jacob Cruz, they proved too much for Belle Vista. Calvary's Robert Brue led the offense to an easy victory as he scored 16 points. In round two Calvary played the School of the Deaf. The boys were minus starter Javier Putnam and were unable to overcome his absence as they fell short in their efforts to get back-to-back victories. The final was 44 to 28. However Calvary rebounded strong in the semi final game against league rival Redeemer. Again Brue led all scorers pouring in a game and season high 25 points. 8th grader Jacob Bass and 5th grader Aubrey Gibbs helped shore up the defense as Calvary came away with a victory which landed them a third place finish in the tournament.
