These shirts are premium quality Gildan Heavyweight Ultra Cotton and will include the school's name.    We will allow any student who buys one to wear it on our special Earth Day, April 16th instead of their uniform top.        If you would like to purchase one for your student(s), please click on the link and print the form below and return it to your teacher with $10 in cash or check (made out to Calvary Lutheran) by Tuesday, February 25th. Part of this money will be used to adopt an endangered animal.    Earth Day Shirt Order Form Only 1 more week to take advantage of the   "10% off your total tuition" incentive!  Just register by Feb. 28th!              SUBMIT YOUR PHOTOS TO THE YEARBOOK!  Last Day to submit photos is Monday, February 24, 2014!     The Yearbook needs your photos from activities such as field trips, basketball, parties, etc.   Here's how to submit them: Fill out the Yearbook Photo Submission form (see bottom) and bring your medium (thumb drive, disk, memory card, photos, etc) to your child's teacher. OR   Go to Calvary's website "www.calvaryslz.org" then click "Share your Photos" (bottom, center)   OR   Send email to Doug Henry (dHenry@calvaryslz.org) with information on how to access them from your photosite.   Thank you for your photos! The Yearbook Crew   Yearbook Submission Form        Auction Meeting - Tuesday, Feb. 25th @ 6pm in the Parish Hall All attendees will receive a Free Homework Pass for their child! Items to be discussed:  contacting homeroom parents, dropping off or mailing out auction donation requests, entertainment, music, dancing, raffles, decorating, prizes....Help us plan the party of the year!    Tickets are on sale in the office now!  $15 for an adult ticket & $15 for a child's ticket  (children have their own party!) Prayer Box   The following students were drawn from the Prayer Box this week: PreKindergarten - Dylan Captan Ariella Acevedo - 2nd Grade Riley Hicks - 4th Hannah Schibler - 6th Jacob Bass - 8th   Over the course of the next week, our staff will be lifting them and their families up in prayer. For the 2014 CLS Yearbook, Calvary is offering the opportunity for our parents who own a business, to purchase space to advertise in our yearbook.     8th Grade Parents/Grandparents/Family Friends:  We are offering the opportunity for you to post a free 1/8th page (business card size) dedication in our yearbook to your 8th grader.  You may also purchase a larger section--see pricing below.

Auction Meeting - Tuesday, Feb. 25th @ 6pm

Help Us           Plan the   10th Annual                       Calvary   Auction!  Come to Calvary's Auction Meeting Tuesday, Feb. 25th @ 6pm in the Parish Hall Help us plan the party of the year!  Calvary's 10th Annual Dinner & Auction All attendees will receive a Free Homework Pass for their child! Some Items to be planned/discussed: Prizes  Decorating  Help drop off or send out donation requests Sell auction tickets Raffles  Contact Homeroom Parent Entertainment Music Dancing     The auction is Saturday, March 29th @ 6pm at the Boys' & Girls' Club in San Leandro.     Tickets are on sale now in the office--$15!  Children have their own dinner and party on the premises - tickets $15!       The class selling the most auction tickets will receive a class prize, and the student selling the most raffle tickets will receive a prize!   Let the fun begin!!!

Box Tops - Clip and save box tops.  If your child or grandchild attends Calvary, save the box tops for his/her classroom.  Each quarter the classes compete for the most box tops--the class with the most, wins a Free Dress Day! Labels for Education - Clip and save Labels for Education for our classrooms.  The class with the most labels in a Quarter, wins a class treat! S.H.A.R.E.S Cards (Luckys, Food Maxx, Savemart, Smart Foods) - These cards are available in the office or can be sent home with your child.  They are preloaded with Calvary's ID so that when you shop at one of their stores, they donate a percentage back to our school. Office Depot - Next time you are shopping at an Office Depot, give the associate our ID# 70014535.  Office Depot will donate a small percentage back to our school. For the 2014 CLS Yearbook, Calvary is offering the opportunity for our parents who own a business, to purchase space to advertise in our yearbook.   We are also offering the opportunity for our 8th grade parents to purchase space in our yearbook to make a dedication to their graduating children.  Space is limited!

Everybody Wins the Penny Wars!

Everyone is a Winner in the Penny Wars! Dear Doug, We would like to thank all who participated in Penny Wars over National Lutheran Schools Week! This was an absolutely fun and friendly competition between all the grades! The enthusiasm of the kids, families, and teachers was very contagious! As a school, we raised $778.76 that will go toward the purchase of Kindles for students!  WAY TO GO CLS STUDENTS AND FAMILIES!!!!  :-D     As a reward for so much enthusiasm, the ENTIRE SCHOOL will receive a free dress day on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13th! Stop by the office and pick up a few gift cards.   Coke Rewards - Drop off Coke caps or coke rewards codes from cases of coke and coke products, or starts your own account and donate your points to the school.   eScrip - Go online and register your credit cards/debit cards with eScrip and your online purchases will earn points/money for our school.   Empty Ink Cartridges - Bring us your small empty ink cartridges and we can recycle those to earn money for ink for our teachers' classrooms.
