Calvary Lutheran School & Church "School Beautification Day is tomorrow!" Calvary Lutheran Church & School Personnel Change

Personnel Change Announcement August 13, 2014 For Immediate Release Contact: 510-278-2555 Calvary Lutheran Church & School Personnel Changes Calvary Lutheran School I wanted to inform you of a personnel change that taking immediate effect at Calvary Lutheran School.  Principal Fred Brauer will no longer be with Calvary Lutheran School.  Mrs. Luehr's, our first/second grade teacher will be assuming the role of interim Principal.  Dr. Michael Chivalette will be taking on the 5/6 grade classroom and serve as Vice-Principal in charge of School Administration. I want to thank Principal Brauer for his work and dedication at Calvary Lutheran School for the past few years!  His dedication to education, students and Calvary have been greatly appreciated. Dr. Chivalette, or "Dr. C.," comes to us with the highest recommendations for his work in taking Christian Schools to the 'next level.'  He does this by team building, a continuous growth in academic excellence, parental involvement and communication. Dr. C. and his wife, Carol, come to us from the East Coast.  We will be officially welcoming them on Sunday, August 24'th at the Teacher Installation and school/church potluck.  I would encourage you to meet and welcome them.  A "Welcome to California" basket will be available for gifts to help them in their cross country move. Dr. C. and Carol are also urgently seeking a home to rent or rent to own.  They have no children but some small furry family members called dogs. With any welcome, there is a good-bye.  I again wanted to thank Principal Brauer for his service to Calvary Lutheran School

School Clean up Jobs

School Clean up Updated list of Jobs                                                                                                                             August 16, 2014 9-noon The following is an updated list of jobs around the campus that need to be addressed.     Will need people to paint, clean and handy with tools. They should bring paint equipment and small hand tools And garden equipment. If they have them. We have the need of a power washer.     OUTSIDE Power wash preschool play area Power wash lunch area concrete Paint front of building class 1-2 and kindergarten Replace netting on basketball hoops and soccer goals Remove trash from behind building and general trash pick up Repaint Cougar name on sport equipment shed   ALL CLASSROOMS Clean and polish white boards Wipe desks and seats all class rooms Check all seats and desks for safety loose and missing bolts Various class rooms need a wall or two painting especially room 6 Remove trash between chain link fence and wooden fence Replace any burnt out lights in all class rooms wash covers Paint classroom doors There are several small electrical jobs replacing switches plugs etc.   Plumbing In the restrooms needs attention for leaks and flushing correctly & Seats are secure   Replace broken missing tiles in lunch room   CHURCH   Trim ground cover in drive area. Cut dead limbs from  tree in drive. Remove fascia board and loose nails from side of overflow room. Paint scuff marks on stucco administration building & parish hall. Flower bed and bush in court yard need attention. Wash tables in court yard.
