Beautification Day Sat 8/18 - 9 to Noon

Come Join Us for School Beautification Day Saturday, 8/18 from 9am - noon It may sound like work, but there's a whole lot of fun going on!    Bring the family and lend a helping hand as we spruce up for Back-to-School. It's a great way to have fun and get a headstart on your PPP hours, too!  Here are some of the areas where we could use a helping hand: OFFICE Dust windows, furniture, etc.   PLAYGROUND/PARKING LOT Basketball Courts ... stencil new lines   Parking lines ... stencil new lines   Replace nets, repair rims   Sweep & Blow entire asphalt playground    Power wash playground     MESSAGE BOARD Clean Plexiglass   PAINTING Paint yellow parking curbs   Paint fence (black) between Perish Hall & Conference Rm   Paint Preschool Playground Fence (black)   Paint & Replace Reflective Tape on goal posts   CLASSROOMS Wash Windows    CARPETS Vacuum   Shampoo   FLOORS Wash & Wax (Buff)   BATHROOMS Clean & deodorize   TEACHER WORKROOM Organize teacher workspace (laminator, paper supplies, etc.)   MOVING "Preschool Storage Rm" ... Clean out & organize the Library closet. Move "Gently Used Clothing" onto shelves in Library closet. Place paper supplies in Teacher Workroom. Move bulletin boards and other items to appropriate places.    "Teacher Lounge"... Move furniture and supplies from "small office in Administrative Bldg." to classroom #1 for storage. Move fridge, microwave, tables & chairs into new lounge.   SAND SIFTING  Clean sand for new school year...if needed, add additional amount to sandbox.        Suggested Supplies ...   Buckets ... scrub brushes ... sponges ... squeegees ... window cleaning supplies ... windex ... soap ... etc. ... ladders ... hand trucks ... paint brushes ... rollers ... rags ... kids: sand sifters ... gloves ... tools ... sheers ... pruners ... screwdrivers ... etc. ... ELBOW GREASE, ENERGY, FUN!   Calvary's 10th Annual Kick-off Celebration   Sunday, August 19 9:00am Worship Service food, fun & fellowship immediately following service ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ If your name begins with... A-L please bring a side dish to share M-Z please bring a dessert to share (CPA will graciously be providing the hot dogs)    We will begin with a special church service at 9:00am where our  principal, Mr. Brauer and the teachers will be commissioned. This means that the staff is being "rededicated" in their service to the Lord and your family for the new school year.  Following the service:            Puppets of Praise   BBQ lunch  Student planners, Bibles, and Hymnals will be sold and the "Gently used" uniforms will also be available.  The classrooms will be open for you to see (10:15-10:30am)  Jump house and water wars for all who wish to           participate. Social time will take place... come and reconnect with your friends and make some new friends!
