February 28, 2014 The Cougar's Roar Calvary Lutheran School Newsletter Upcoming Events March  2nd 9am - Church "What Do You See?"  2nd 10:15am - Adult Bible studies & Children's Sunday School following Service 3rd 9:30am - Panoramic Picture   5th 8:40am - Chapel - Ash Wednesday   7th - Field Trip - 3rd/4th Grade to Mission Carmel 17th-20th - Achievement Tests 21st - Jean & Hat Day (Sponsored by the Student Council - Cost - $1 for each)  21st - End of 3rd Quarter (43 Days)  26th 8:40am - 1st/2nd Grade Lead Chapel 28th 11:30am Dismissal - Staff In-Service Day - (Free Dress & Calvary Club Available) 29th 5pm - 10th Annual Auction & Dinner - "A Taste of Italy" (Boys & Girls Club in San Leandro) 30th 9am - 1st/2nd Grade Partners in Worship      Pay the $275 Registration by March 31st    to receive 5% off your total tuition!                Calvary Needs Empty Glass Jars     If you have any clean, empty glass jars that you can donate, please bring them to the office.  We will be using them for the auction.  Thank you!  Auction Meeting - Tuesday, March 11th @ 6pm in the Conf. Room All attendees will receive a Free Homework Pass for their child! Items to be discussed:  contacting homeroom parents, dropping off or mailing out auction donation requests, entertainment, music, dancing, raffles, decorating, prizes....Help us plan the party of the year!    Tickets are on sale in the office now!  $15 for an adult ticket & $15 for a child's ticket  (children have their own party!) We are looking for a DJ!  If you or someone you know is a DJ, please contact Bonnie 951-537-7475 or the office for details.         Special Auction Bulletin will be emailed Monday with the evening's food, fun and entertainment!  Stay tuned!     Prayer Box   The following students were drawn from the Prayer Box this week: PreKindergarten - Anaiya Garcia Olli Dibaba - 1st Grade Seth Putnam - 3rd William Misinale - 6th Lydia Schimke - 8th   Over the course of the next week, our staff will be lifting them and their families up in prayer.
