From Superintendent Dr. Chivalette - Hosing Korean Students

Calvary Lutheran Church and School Important Message from  Superintendent Dr. Michael Chivalette Monday July 13, 2015  Dear Calvary School Parents,   Greetings in the Name of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.   I am reaching out to you at this time as we are in need of housing for our Korean students that are going to be here for our summer program, which will last for four weeks.   We will need four host families for our program to be a success. Each family will host 2 Korean students from JLS for four weeks from July 22 through August 14, 2015.   You will receive a stipend of $1800.00 for hosting the students in your home.   If you are interested in providing housing for the students please contact Jill Cole or Eunice Son at 925-999-8649 or via E mail at jillstromcole@gmail.com or euniceyson@gmail.com           Dear Students, We are also in need of 12 current or former CLS students to serve as partners/buddies for our Korean students while they are here. Calvary Lutheran Church and School Important Message from  Superintendent Dr. Michael Chivalette Thursday, July 9, 2015  Dear Calvary School Parents,   Greetings in the Name of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.   I hope you are having a wonderful and safe summer break.  There are several things going on here during the summer time and we can use your help.   On Saturday, August 1st and August 8th - we are going to have two major paint and clean up days. We need your help in providing your services which in turn will help you in those PPP hours!   We need help in the following areas:   Painting of all classrooms: - Painting of all walls and trims in each classroom.  All you need to do is to bring your brushes and rollers.   Playground: - Help remove all rubber tire material on the ground floor for new flooring arriving soon   Donuts and coffee will be served at 8:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided at around 12:30 p.m.    I am excited about the changes we made.  I believe that they are in the best interest of your child and for Calvary's future.    Please contact the school secretary at (510) 278-2598 and let her know what dates you will be available and she will make sure the hours you work will be processed in regards to your PPP hours.   Thank you for your time.  I look forward to seeing you on Saturday, August 1st and 8th, as well as at our Teacher Rally Day on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.   In His Service, Dr. Michael H.
