The Cougar's Roar
In This Issue
Greetings!

Here at Calvary we are blessed to have a cozy, family feeling to our church and school.  So for the next several weeks, we will highlight a different teacher or staff member and tell you a little something about them that you didn't know before.  Like Miss Grace--you knew she liked cats, but did you know she likes dragons and has one living in her classroom?

Stay tuned for more in the next Cougar's Roar!

Our Featured Teacher this week is...
Miss Katie Mellon

Originally from Connecticut, Katie moved to the West Coast to take a break from the long cold winters with multiple feet of snow. After graduating in 2010 from Keene State College in New Hampshire with a degree in Elementary Education and a degree in Music for Elementary teachers, she moved to Boston and worked for three years as an assistant in a first and second grade classroom. During her time in Boston, Katie earned her Masters of Education in May 2013 from Lesley University in Curriculum and Instruction specializing in integrating the arts.

Katie enjoys reading, knitting and running. Traveling is a new interest of hers and she hopes to see more and more of the country as her family and friends begin to spread from the East Coast. She is looking forward to exploring the Bay area and hopes to get a dog soon. She is thrilled and excited about her lead teaching career at Calvary!
