A Letter from Dr. Chivalette

October 7, 2014
Greetings, CLS families and friends!
As we rapidly approach the close of the first quarter marking period on October 17, it is our intent to have RenWeb fully functional enabling parents the opportunity to oversee their child's progress.  I have asked Mr. Jerry Mussack, a school parent and I.T. specialist to serve in the role as technical administrator for our RenWeb program.  He will also be working closely with myself as we begin the process of revamping our school website.

Once RenWeb is up and running, parents and staff will be able to correspond on an ongoing basis regarding each child's progress.  Homework assignments and important dates and events will also be posted providing clear communication for all involved.

Another aspect I would like to address is the need for those dropping off and picking up their children.  Please be conscious to two vital aspects upon entering and leaving our campus:  First, it is important to drive no more than 5 mph upon entering and exiting.  Second, be watchful for students walking in front or behind your vehicle.  Your support is these two key areas will allow us to keep our children safe.

On a final note, the investigation to offer preschool parents an earlier drop-off and later pick-up time for their child did not provide enough interest to be considered at the present time.  We will continue to monitor the possibility of such a program if there is enough parents support to do so.
