Calvary Christian School
this Sunday, March 26, 2017
Dear Calvary Parents,
As you know, members of Calvary Lutheran Church are voting this Sunday, March 26, 2017, after the 9 a.m. worship service, about whether to allow Calvary Christian School to remain open for the 2017-2018 school year. Please keep the outcome of this meeting in prayer, as well as for the church, school, and everyone that will be affected.
We also encourage you to attend church and the meeting at Calvary this Sunday to show your support. Unlike the March 12 meeting that a number of parents attended, non-members will not be allowed to share their thoughts with the congregation as a group in advance of the vote. Instead, the Board of Governance (BOG) will present the proposal that was provided to them at noon today by parents along with the BOG's recommendation to members regarding the vote. There may be opportunity for parents who are also church members to speak before the vote along with other church members.
Regardless of the restrictions on sharing during the meeting, we encourage all parents to attend church and the meeting at Calvary to show support for the school. If a large crowd of parents shows up for church and the meeting, this will send a powerful statement to church members, many of whom have made sacrifices for years and wonder if parents have the same concern for the school and church. Let's demonstrate how much we care by showing up to demonstrate support for saving our school.
The proposal documents that will be shared at the meeting are attached for your information.
Thanks for your prayers and for considering attending church and the meeting at Calvary this Sunday, March 26, starting at 9 a.m.
